How a placement happens.

Start

Teachers enter the system

Quality is ensured from day one. Teachers don't self-register; they are onboarded by a TeacherBuilder administrator with their TEA ID and initial certification status.

Visibility

Profile built & availability toggled

Teachers log in, complete their preferences (certification area, grade levels, preferred counties), and toggle their availability to 'Seeking Placement' to be discovered.

Discovery

Schools and recruiters search

Verified school administrators, recruiters, and district coordinators search the real-time pool of actively available, certified teachers.

Request

Information requests submitted

When a school wants to pursue a candidate, they submit a formal Information Request. There is no open access to sensitive teacher data without approval.

Admin reviews and approves

A TeacherBuilder administrator reviews every request. Once approved (typically within 1–2 business days), the school receives full contact and profile details.

Outcome

Placements are made

The school places the teacher. The platform records whether this is an intern placement (supervised field experience) or a hired placement (formal employment).

Supervisors conduct structured evaluations. Teachers advance through the pipeline from Ready to Placed to Hired, tracked every step of the way.
